The Institute of Governance Studies

I realise that I have not actually said anything yet about the work I am doing in Dhaka and that is clearly remiss of me as I know that you are all keen to know what I am up to. The Institute of Governance Studies (IGS) is part of BRAC University in Bangladesh. My job, over the next 18 months or so, is to work with the small, but highly productive, team to build a parliamntary cluster that will work on parliamentary development issues in Bangladesh. I will be doing this on a semi-resident basis so, for example, I have been here for two weeks on this trip but will be spending six weeks in-country when I return after the Eid holidays.
